Project Management Short Course
Overview
This course teaches you the basics of project management like different types of projects, concepts, frameworks and stakeholders. It also teaches you the organisational and socio-economic influences that affects projects and the key management skills needed. Finally the course covers how to manage the different phases and processes of every project.
The course duration is 4 months.

Short Course Subjects: 2 Subjects
1) Introduction to Business English
Introduction to Communication, Verbal and Non-verbal Communication Skills, Communication for meetings, presentations and work readiness.
2) Project Management Basics
Teaches you the basics of project management like different types of projects, concepts, frameworks and stakeholders; the organisational and socio-economic influences that affects projects; key management skills needed; and finally how to manage the different phases and processes of every project.
Study Options
Part time evening and weekend classes
Our classes are part time in the evenings or weekends. It is highly recommended to attend classes for subjects you are struggling with or if you don’t have a lot of time to study. We currently run part time evening and weekend classes for a select number of courses in Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria and Sandton.
Online classes
Our online classes are conducted by BPP lecturers who are responsible for the world’s best pass rates. With our online classes you get everything you need to prepare for your exam – from textbooks to online resources. Simply follow the online learning plan and enjoy the convenience of home study without missing out on critical information and techniques discussed in class.
Home study
Our Home Study is ideal for students who are unable to attend our classes. Students can also combine their study methods by studying some subjects via home study and others via classes.You can also add exam prep classes to home study options when making a booking.
Exam Prep Classes
Our exam prep classes and home study options have been designed to give you sufficient question practice to ensure you are confidently prepared for your exam.
While we also review key concepts, the focus is on practicing exam questions, good time management and making sure you understand exactly what is asked.
There are no exams for this course. The completion of the course is based on your coursework and what you submit on a monthly basis.

Fees
The total course cost is R3,050 which can be paid in monthly installments of R600.
Entry Requirements
The entry requirements to study this course is Grade 10 and the ability to read and write in English.
Timetable
Online classes
Our online classes are available all year round. We accept late registrations for classes that have already started, although we recommend that you don’t join a class more than 2 weeks after it has started.

Part time evening and weekend classes
Our classes are usually run twice a year (once per semester). The classes comprise of approx. seven taught and three revision classes with a marked mock exam.
Our classes are run part time in the evenings from 18:00 to 21:00 and on a Saturday from 08:30. One subject = once a week, two subjects = twice a week, etc. Weekday evenings (Mon to Thu) only.
